SUPPORT THE Q’ERO NATION
SUPPORT THE CHILDREN IN Q´ERO NATION
The Q’ero people were first found in 1955 among the high and snow-capped mountains of the Andes. Even today, these people live in these remote places in the Peruvian Andes. The soil is not too fertile at this high altitude and the families often live in very simple houses made of mud, natural stones with thatched roofs. These simple houses are often no larger than 20 square meters. The nature and the surrounding region stretch through many different climate zones as the altitude varies from between 1800 m to over 4500 m. Depending on the altitude, corn and potatoes can be planted and harvested. Among the higher elevations you see herds of alpacas and llamas.
In the last 10 years, many Peruvian and international companies and organizations have tried to support the q’ero people to improve their schooling, health, access to running water, electricity through solar cells, and to help them maintain their cultural heritage and traditions inherited from the Inca Empire.

How these organizations succeed in their vision is different and Victor has now heard a call to begin our journey to help the q’ero people. One of his main goals is to help them preserve their ancient tradition and heritage of knowledge, wisdom and healing skills. We are not interested in changing these people’s way of life from heart to inheriting our Western tradition of intellect. In many ways, we see how we in the West should instead learn from these fine and humble people. They live close to nature and practice a deep and spiritual philosophy that holds great knowledge of physical and spiritual health.
Living at this altitude in harsh weather does not make for a physically easy life. During Victor’s journey to the q’ero villages and this people, he has developed a deep and loving relationship with the q’ero shamans and their families. Victor brings school books, pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers and various items that help the children in their education. This is a way of providing support for the children’s journey and education in these remote places. He does this together with his colleague, close friend and spiritual sister who comes from Peru; Karina Davalos Concha. She lives today in Cusco, which is the closest and largest city in contact with this people and their villages.
Almost every Christmas we collect donations from our countries so that together we can buy and bring warm clothes, food, Christmas presents and joy to the children in these villages. We want to support the families and children in q’ero’s villages so they don’t have to leave their homes to move down from the mountains. We want to give them a warmer Christmas and the tools they need.

We work entirely on a non-profit basis so that all donations we receive go directly to helping these people and their villages. This is a way for us to give back the reciprocity, love and healing that they share with us in the West through their ceremonies and healing. It is a way of giving ayni for us. Ayni is a Quechua word that translates to sacred reciprocity because in everything there is an exchange of energy. To always give first from a place in our hearts and then to be kept alive by the same.
The big vision of the year 2024 was to help Collpa Cuchu.

When Victor held a meeting with the families in the village of Collpa Cuchu, they told him that they need new fences for their alpacas. Their animals play a big role in their everyday life. They are well cared for while they roam freely among the high mountains and are herded by the families and the children.
What the village of Qollpay Quchu needs are new fences for the families of the village to make it easier for some animal husbandry. Victor goes there himself with the stake and gives them everything they need without intermediaries. CondorSonqo works entirely on a non-profit basis and all donations and what is left over also goes to the whole community, solar cells, common vessels, school or other important parts that the community’s residents need.
CondorSonqo itself will start this donation by donating SEK 10,000 to support this project and help these beautiful people create more flow and balance in their lives up in the mountains. With your help we raised a whopping 40,000 SEK! A very successful project and a big thank you to everyone who helped. We, as well as the families in Collpa Cuchu, are infinitely grateful!
Your donation supports cultural preservation, education, health, and food, in the most remote regions of the Andes Mountains in Peru. You might give your gift in honor of someone and let them know about your special gift to the q’ero people.
Through the gift of your donation, you help preserve the beautiful people of the Q’ero nation through support, love and more power to maintain their ancient traditions and continue to preserve them in the highlands of the Andes.
They are asking for more solar cells so that the children can do their homework in the evening, support the school and the children, food for the elderly, help with their alpaca lands and to strengthen their breeding alpaca lands as well as ceremonial despachu kits for sacred ceremonies. Your gift is a gift from Ayni and a blessing to all! Every year we want to create one or more projects to make their lives more beautiful and easier. Their shamans travel the world to support the spiritual growth and physical, emotional and spiritual health of the Western tradition. They listen to the earth’s call to help, heal and share so that we can rebuild the right relationship with the earth, life and the planet. Your gift to the q’ero people is treated entirely on a non-profit basis by us at CondorSonqo and Spirit of the Condor. You help them through AYNI.

Ayni is the fundamental principle of the Andean way of life. Ayni is a form of sacred reciprocity between individuals, families, neighbors and communities. Ayni is a “pay it forward model” where someone gives without expecting anything in return, knowing that all beings and the earth live in an interconnected network and that everyone’s needs will be heard and taken care of.
Ayni is also that Pachamama or Mother Earth, provides food, water, shelter, and all the essentials we need to survive, live and feel good, through plants, animals, lakes, the clouds, and other aspects of nature. In return we give prayers, gratitude, gifts and stewardship to the earth.
